STARDOLL RESPONDS...

Update: Keep in mind 83 items were taken..they are willing to give back 54.

So Stardoll responds. Some good news...some bad.

First they hear us..

They are reading the blogs and listening. That's good.

The 2nd is the reason they are saying I was hacked is absolutely completely FALSE.

1. I DID NOT and DO NOT use proxies. How many times have I said that on this blog and that they are unsafe?!

So not sure how they say I did this. I do notice however that they did not give any details. Like the date I did this or the item I did it for, which my Mom has now requested. So my only assumption is that either the hacker used a proxy or that is just the excuse Stardoll is using to say you broke the rules.

Funny that I had not even logged into that account during the time I was hacked... :(

I appreciate that they are giving back 54 OUT OF 83 items STOLEN, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER 29!!!

The lottery dresses. My Kylie dress, bai ling, Britney Spears and more. *cries*

2. We did however point out AGAIN..that NONE OF THESE should have been able to be sold since they were supposedly locked by Stardoll themself over 2 years ago. That fact alone should give the items back  and has yet to be addresses by them...

So here is what they had to say. Read for yourselves.

WHY AM I PAYING AGAIN FOR ITEMS STOLEN FROM ME?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRR. I ALREADY LOST HUNDREDS TO THIS HACKER!!!

But a few things before I end this mild rant ;)

PROXIES ARE IN FACT UNSAFE. Even though they are posted on every Stardoll blog. Please do not use them. (My Mom suggested that they make them available for ALL countries so there was no need)

DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORDS. STARDOLL says NEVER EVER, but Especially if you are unsure the person is trustworthy...like family etc..

DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS PROVIDED BY ANOTHER MEMBER. Those of you doing comps be extra careful. That is how I was hacked not proxies. It is called a key logger virus that they can attach to a link they give you for a screen print.

HAVE A GOOD ANTI VIRUS AND DIFFICULT PASSWORDS. Passwords should have upper and lower cases, numbers and unusual characters. They should not be connected to you, but more random.

CLEAN OUT YOUR COOKIES FREQUENTLY. DO NOT STORE PASSWORDS.

USE APPLICATIONS LIKE A VIRTUAL KEYBOARD OR TYPING UPSIDE DOWN TO ENTER PASSWORDS. Credit Essrox.

These tips will be posted on a special link on the blog soon. Idea credit to Perezstargossip of PSG.
